| Elizabeth is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana. She moved to Texas to attend Baylor University, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance in 2000. While at Baylor, Elizabeth spent a summer abroad studying Theatre and the Humanities at Westminster School, London. During the summer of 2000, she was chosen to be an Apprentice at the Tony-winning Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts. While at Williamstown, Elizabeth had the good fortune to work with Tony and Academy Award-winning theatre professionals from all over the United States and Europe, including Blythe Danner, Anne Reinking, Terrance Mann, Michael Greif and Kate Burton. |
The following Fall, Elizabeth moved to Dallas to begin auditioning for productions around the Metroplex. She has since worked with Pegasus Theatre, Theatre Britain, Plano Repertory Theatre, Pocket Sandwich Theatre, Stage West, Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, Garland Civic, Theatre Quorum, and Circle Theatre, among others. Favorite roles include Sunny Freitag (The Last Night of Ballyhoo), Heidi Mittlehoffer (The Lady in Question), and Evelyn Frye (Close Ties). Prior to founding Theater Fusion with Todd Haberkorn, Elizabeth had the honor of joining him on stage in the American Premier of Christopher Shinn's The Coming World at Stage West. For her role as Claudia in Theatre Quorum's Honour, Elizabeth and her fellow castmates received a Dallas Ft. Worth Theatre Critics' Forum Award for Best Ensemble. Perhaps her crowning achievement, however, was taking on the role of Catherine in Plano Repertory's highly-acclaimed production of Proof, directed by the incomparable Joel Ferrell. For her role in Proof, Elizabeth was nominated for a Leon Rabin Award from the Dallas Theatre League for Outstanding Lead Actress, and for a Column Award. Proof went on to win the Rabin for Best Play 2005 and, more importantly, reignited Elizabeth's passion for live theatre. For Theater Fusion, Elizabeth has been seen in The Turn of the Screw, Evolution, The Dreamer Examines His Pillow, and will be seen next in The Mystery Plays at the 2007 FIT Festival. In addition to acting, Elizabeth is a certified Theatre Arts and Speech Communications teacher. She has coached competitive drama for four years.
